I followed Bug #839888 and was happy that it was fixed so fast. However, today I updated my machine at work that has no systemd at all and has full disk encryption (including /boot) as my company needs that. I just found the box completly unbootable with dropping me to initram. I am still trying to recover the system but it seems that the patch for #839888 in combination with version 2:1.7.2-1 broke the system. Note that the bug was written on a other system as the system in question has no support for mail and is unbootable currently.
