Package: hplip Version: 3.14.6-1+b2 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer, Previously installed version was done manually from HP website, decided to use the Debian packag system for upgrade Using Synaptic, installed the hplip package. (also hplip-gui) Toolbox would not execute from KDE menu or icon on panel. Discovered that the KDE menu points to /usr/bin/hp-toolbox, which is a link to /usr/share/hplip, which does not appear to exist. Attempting to find hplip using Dolphin, a search from /usr/share for hplip finds a folder hplip. However, opening a Dolphin window showing hidden files does not reveal a folder /usr/share/hplip. -- Package-specific info: /usr/share/bug/hplip/script: line 6: /usr/bin/hp-check: No such file or directory -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages hplip depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii coreutils 8.23-4 ii cups 1.7.5-11+deb8u1 ii hplip-data 3.14.6-1 ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u6 ii libcups2 1.7.5-11+deb8u1 ii libdbus-1-3 1.8.20-0+deb8u1 ii libhpmud0 3.14.6-1+b2 ii libsane 1.0.24-8+deb8u1 ii libsane-hpaio 3.14.6-1+b2 ii libsnmp30 5.7.2.1+dfsg-1 ii libssl1.0.0 1.0.1t-1+deb8u5 ii libusb-1.0-0 2:1.0.19-1 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian13+nmu1 ii policykit-1 0.105-15~deb8u2 ii printer-driver-hpcups 3.14.6-1+b2 ii python 2.7.9-1 ii python-dbus 1.2.0-2+b3 ii python-gobject-2 2.28.6-12+b1 ii python-imaging 2.6.1-2+deb8u2 ii python-pexpect 3.2-1 ii python-reportlab 3.1.8-3+deb8u1 ii wget 1.16-1+deb8u1 Versions of packages hplip recommends: ii avahi-daemon 0.6.31-5 ii printer-driver-postscript-hp 3.14.6-1 ii sane-utils 1.0.24-8+deb8u1 Versions of packages hplip suggests: ii hplip-doc 3.14.6-1 ii hplip-gui 3.14.6-1 ii python-notify 0.1.1-4 ii system-config-printer 1.4.6-1 -- no debconf information
