i am on testing. How long is temporary? For me is this bug PERMANENT since 2016-07-22 :-(, and affect more of my daily tools, some of them make segfault (caja), other hang(meld) etc. This is a serious bug! If the maintainer from libgtk-3 is not a script, than i found he/she should also use some programs who uste libgtk-3 to make some tests. The maintainer is not obligated to accept all the changes comming from upstream! He/she is the filter, firewall, protector of debian, whith one word The Maintainer and not a simple packetizer. Linked libraries must be backward compatible, thath is a fact. If this is not so, a new library is needed for the incompatible library, who not affect existing programs. This is a reasonable way to give a chance for all the software who use the old library to make the migration to the inconpatible new library. Or have some one a reasonable way to solwe such problems? Thx, no more comment to this bug.
