Maybe there is a common reason for > both packages to fail. it might indeed be a git issue OR may be annex 6.20160511-1 incompatibility with it ... indeed -- if I switch from git-annex-standalone build (built and using older git as in stretch in july (2.8.1)), tests do fail for me locally!
