Package: libtool Version: 2.4.6-1 Severity: serious Hi,
Until libtool 2.4.6-0.1, the first line of output of libtoolize --version was: libtoolize (GNU libtool) 2.4.6 With 2.4.6-1, it became: libtoolize (GNU libtool) 2.4.6 Debian-2.4.6-1 This breaks several packages that rely on this output to get the current libtool version. E.g. mate-autogen, that does: libtoolize --version | head -n 1 | sed 's/^.*[ ]\([0-9.]*[a-z]*\).*$/\1/' This results in the following error during build: ./autogen.sh: 83: shift: can't shift that many The following 32 packages fail to build because of that: atril_1.14.1-2 caja_1.14.1-1 caja-actions_1.8.0+dfsg1-1 caja-extensions_1.14.0-1 cinnamon_3.0.4-1 engrampa_1.14.1-1 eom_1.14.1-1 libmatekbd_1.14.1-1 libmatemixer_1.14.0-1 libmateweather_1.14.0-1 marco_1.14.2-3 mate-applets_1.14.0-3 mate-control-center_1.14.0-1 mate-desktop_1.14.1-1 mate-indicator-applet_1.14.1-1 mate-media_1.14.0-1 mate-menus_1.14.0-1 mate-netbook_1.14.0-1 mate-notification-daemon_1.14.1-1 mate-panel_1.14.1-1 mate-polkit_1.14.0-1 mate-power-manager_1.14.0-2 mate-screensaver_1.14.1-1 mate-sensors-applet_1.14.0-1 mate-session-manager_1.14.0-1 mate-settings-daemon_1.14.0-1 mate-system-monitor_1.14.0-2 mate-terminal_1.14.0-1 mate-user-share_1.14.0-1 mate-utils_1.14.0-1 pluma_1.14.0-1 python-caja_1.14.0-1 All of them except cinnamon depend on mate-common, which provides mate-autogen. So, if you don't plan to revert that change, please reassign to cinnamon and mate-common. Thanks Lucas
