For a grave bug, this report is strangely devioid of all fact and details, and indeed, just about anything that can actually help fix it. I can't reproduce it (probably because I do not have access to s390), but I also fail to see how this is not user error -- k-p now uses the kernel Makefiles idea of what the version number is.
