The DEP-5 machine readable copyright is optional - from the spec: "Use of this specification is optional." https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/1.0/ It's not a bad thing to do, but isn't a good reason to delay uploading a version which fixes RC bugs. I sponsored the previous upload, but probably won't be able to sponsor an upload in the near future as I'm travelling with a slow netbook which would be painful to build the package on. I'm completely happy for Mattia or someone else to sponsor though. Cheers, Olly
