I can not reproduce this bug. That directory should definitely belong to you. eg: % ls -ld /tmp/orbit-netsnipe/ drwx------ 2 netsnipe netsnipe 4096 2006-01-27 16:21 /tmp/orbit-netsnipe Which would indicate that there's something wrong with your GNOME session setup. I suggest logging out of GNOME, and as root delete that directory before trying to log in again. Your problem is definitely not that of glabel.
