I've just tested the _pbuilded_ Sarge package against the CVE-2005-4439 vulnerability and confirmed that elogd behaved normally (no core dump). Florian: If you haven't any objections, I'll upload to stable-security (with some final cosmetic touches). Also, the new upstream package will follow (for sid).
