Update: none of the zeroc-ice release tarballs (including the current 3.6.2 tarball) seem to support PHP 7 as best I can tell. The v3.7.0-alpha0 tag in the upstream git repository does.

In the v3.7.0-alpha0 tag, php/src has separate "php5" and "php7" directories
and code to choose which of these to use during the compile based on what's
available on the system it's built with. None of the 3.6 series seems to
have this.
