Hi!
Any news on this? There are several problems with the following
approach:
-) the debconf isn't a registry. debconf is clearly abused here
-) Files under /etc have to preserve user changes.
I'm not sure if you just have forgotten about this bugreport, but if it
will stay the package won't be released with etch...
