The chrpath issue has been fixed, I have scheduled binNMUs to get a
fixed openmpi on mipsel and mips64el

I am keeping this bug open with severity minor to not forget to remove
the workaround that has been added (thanks for that). There is no
urgency for it, it can wait other changes.
