Package: src:linux Version: 4.4.2-2 Followup-For: Bug #815125 1. To add another datum, Dell Inspiron 5758 also does not boot past displaying the kernel boot command line (from rEFInd booter).
2. Booting proceeds normally with "efi=noruntime", suggested elsewhere. BIOS UEFI is in Legacy mode. 3. "earlyprintk=efi, keep" shows several pages of scrolling info, finishing with a kernel panic and lockup as above. I didn't take a photo at the time. Let me know if you need it and I'll reboot again.
