Hi, I think that this bug should be reassigned to imlib2 instead.
Please look at a trivial test program that tries to load three images using the same imlib2 functions that feh uses; the images are taken from the feh test suite (I've isolated it to them). http://devel.ringlet.net/graphics/imgif/imgif-0.1.0.tar.bz2 http://devel.ringlet.net/graphics/imgif/imgif-0.1.0.tar.bz2.asc The failure mode is really interesting: - if only the GIF image is loaded, there is no problem - if only the JPEG images are loaded, there is no problem - if one or both of the JPEG images are loaded and *then* the GIF image is loaded, imlib2 fails to load the GIF image Thus the Makefile's "test" target: first load just the JPG images and just the GIF image 100 times, see no failures, then try to load all three 100 times, expect a failure every single time. At least on my Debian testing machine, there are indeed 100 failures out of 100 attempts.
