Installing zypper.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Simply running zypper fails:

mcgrof@garbanzo ~ $ zypper
zypper: relocation error: zypper: symbol 
_ZN4zypp5CpeId11NoThrowType13lastMalformedE, version ZYPP_plain not
defined in file libzypp.so.1503 with link time reference

   * What was the outcome of this action?

zypper fails to run.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

For it to work.
