This particular upgrade path issue has been introduced in [1] and should be fixed with a simple Breaks: libwebsockets-test-server (<< 1.6.0-1) Replaces: libwebsockets-test-server (<< 1.6.0-1) inside the libwebsockets-test-server-common package. Just a question, please look at [2] to see the common use cases, and here I ask you: doesn't the libwebsockets-test-server depend on the common package? I'm guessing the use case might be the #8 instead of the #7.
