I thought that we should build-depend first on a real package (non virtual) and then virtual as an alternative and that build servers would fail to pick up based on a virtual package as well -- that is why libpng16-dev was listed first ... build for me since I forgot that pbuilder is a bit "smarter" and deals with alternative dependencies while stock builders indeed do not go for those but ok -- will list libpng-dev as the first and alternative libpng12 and will see how it goes -- Yaroslav O.
