Hi maintainer,

your package digikam currently still depends on GStreamer 0.10.

GStreamer 0.10 is no longer maintained and supported by the upstream
project since almost 3 years, and contains many known bugs that are
fixed in the new 1.x release series of GStreamer. Next to many bug
fixes, the new release series also contains many other improvements,
new features and a more streamlined API.

For the next Debian release GStreamer 0.10 is planned to be removed,
and if your package is not updated it might not be included in the
release. Please update your package to use the new version as soon as
possible.

If you need any help with porting or have further questions, please
feel free to also contact me privately.

Best regards, Sebastian

further discussion.

I just uploaded a new digikam today and it no longer depends on GStreamer at
all. To be sure, I removed all the gstreamer 0.1 packages on my system and
digikam still runs.

Thus closing the bug. Please re-open with more information if I've missed
something.

I'm frankly a bit puzzled about this bug report: digikam doesn't have any
build-dependencies on gstreamer at all. It does build against libqtgstreamer-
dev -- maybe that's where the dependency came from back in May?
