This RC bug was filed 3.5 weeks ago and has had no maintainer response. Nearly 3 months ago, I asked if the maintainer was still interested in maintaining this package, as I opened my third bug which included a patch: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=797029#5 I've had no response to that, nor a response to those two earlier bugs either: https://bugs.debian.org/692075 https://bugs.debian.org/766130 The first of these bugs is now over 3 years old. Looking at the BTS, catdoc now has 23 open bugs. The last maintainer upload was 2012-06-10 (with one NMU since). I can only conclude that Nick Bane is MIA, and that catdoc should be orphaned so that a new maintainer can take it over and give it some love. I've Cc-ed the MIA team. Not sure if I currently have the time to commit to be that new maintainer, though I'd certainly be happy to do a QA upload to fix the non-free files and any bugs with a good patch attached. Cheers, Olly
