Strange strange strange.

1) I did the trick UDEV_DISABLED="yes" in /etc/udev/udev.conf (note not
on the command line) and got nothing under /etc/udev/.dev ???

2) In order to help you, I removed it and booted normally with udev
0.080 and it worked (execpt a message that i have a .udev in my static
/dev or something like that)

*SO*, it probably means that the naming rules for devfs backward
compatibility were the real culprit (or I have gremlins in my computer).

Now that I see the way /dev/hde* are created, I'm sure the naming was
wrong due to the devsfs script becasue as I remmenber the path were
womething like /dev/ide/hostX/lunY/part
