Perhaps it isn't clear external to the project, but participation in the Debian BTS does not automatically make one a Debian person, which not a defined status. The maintainer of the subsurface package, an official Debian status, removed the package on request, so in many ways, problem happily solved? As with any internet discussion forum there are those whose contributions are a net negative, and Debian always errs on the side of free speech over ban hammer, so unfortunately this kind of distraction persists. You can probably expect additional unblinking walls of text chock full of insult and little actual technical content incoming from scientia.net. My advice is to not feed. Best wishes, Mike
