I neither understand why backintime was removed because of this. But this bug is caused by missing /bin/mountpoint which is part of package initscripts. Just installing 'apt-get install initscripts' will fix this.
I didn't thought about initscript would become non standard some day when I wrote that. So I missed adding a dependency. But anyways, next BiT version (1.1.8) will come without that dependency (I rewrote that function couple days ago) Regards, Germar, BiT Dev-Team
