Source: gucharmap Severity: serious Usertags: static built-using According to the Build-Depends and build logs, gucharmap takes files from unicode-data, converts them to C headers using a Perl script and statically compiles them into the library.
A new version of unicode-data was just uploaded (8.0-1), so gucharmap needs an update from upstream to build with the new version. Since files from unicode-data therefore form part of the source of gucharmap, unicode-data should be present in the Built-Using field, which is documented in this section of policy: https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-built-using The package currently FTBFS due to this issue: unicode-versions.h:182:21: error: 'GUCHARMAP_UNICODE_VERSION_8_0' undeclared here (not in a function) { 0x08B3, 0x08B4, GUCHARMAP_UNICODE_VERSION_8_0 }, ^ -- bye, pabs https://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
