If yes there is something really strange since I patched it as explained here: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=781781#20 I will try on a fresh Jessie VM (I suppose you are using Jessie since urllib3 version 1.9.1-3), but any info will be very appreciated.
