Package: ncl-ncarg Version: 6.2.0-3+b1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer, Something is wrong with the (hardcoded) environment variables in the NCL Package. As soon as NCLÂ needs the environment variable $NCARG_ROOTÂ and its derivatives, it complains not finding the specified path. Even a hand export of the env doesn't help. -What led up to the situation? Just running a script with plotting and some load sections. -What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I tried to set $NCARG_ROOT by hand, but it didn't get any better. I also tried to build NCL from source, but with all the dependencies, it was unsuccessful. Thank you for your time and maintaining this package.
