Package: postgresql-8.0
Version: 8.0.5-1
Severity: critical
Justification: causes serious data loss

The 8.0.5 version of PostgreSQL contains a critical error in ReadBuffer:

"that can cause data loss due to overwriting recently-added
pages. This applies to the 8.1 and 8.0 branches on all
        platforms."

This is fixed in the minor version 8.0.6 released today.

Other bugs fixed in this release are summarized here:

        http://www.postgresql.org/about/news.456

This also applies to:
  postgresql-8.1: 8.1.1 (fixed in 8.1.2)
  postgresql-7.4: 7.4.10 (fixed in 7.4.11)
  ??: 7.3.12 (fixed in 7.3.13)

Should I bother reporting this at all and should I report it for each
package? Thanks.
