Automatic builds of snappy-java have been failing: org.apache.maven.project.ProjectBuildingException: POM 'org.sonatype.oss:oss-parent' not found in repository: System is offline. This looks quite similar to https://bugs.debian.org/767115, which was addressed by directing maven to ignore this (evidently inessential) parent, and https://codesearch.debian.net/results/sonatype%5C.oss/page_0 indicates that several other packages have taken the same approach; with any luck, it will work here as well.
