Package: src:linux
Version: 3.9.6-1
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system
Hi,
Today I updated my system, and got update of the kernel, to 3.9 version(did it
with dist-upgrade). On booting with new version, I got some error messages,
like:
Booting kernel
Loading, please wait...
modprobe: can't load module microcode (kernel/..../microcode.ko): No such
device
Volume group "vg-all" not found
Skipping volume group "vg-all"
Unable to find LVM volume vg-all/lv-root
Volume group "vg-all" not found
Skipping volume group "vg-all"
Unable to find LVM volume vg-all/lv-swap
Gave up waiting for root device.
After these messages, busybox shell is loaded.
Now is running kernel version 3.2.
Also, sometimes, on boot with 3.9 apper an TSC failed error.
Regards,
Alexander Balaban
