It really doesn’t make much sense to start a group that would backport Pacemaker in stable while it continues to rot in Unstable. If people want to help, the best thing they can do is get involved in the Debian HA Maintainers group (which has existed for the last five years) and start working on the actual packages. I have recently created up-to-date Linux-HA packages for Ubuntu 14.04.
