Ok, the failing dbus/gdm3 service looks like a completely different issue from dpkg failing to run "dpkg --configure -a". Let's stick to the latter issue in this bug report, to not mix up things. Please also provide steps, how we can reproduce the issue. I decided to downgrade the severity, due to lack of information which makes it hard to evaluate the real impact of this issue and it rather looks like a corner case to me.
