As I read your report it is returning an error.  Bug#770695 is about a
hang during installation.  Your problem reads to me like a completely
different problem.

That exited with an error so seems like a completely different problem
from the hang bug.  It looks like a package upgrade problem preventing
the daemon from starting.  I suggest making a new bug report with
these problem details so that it can be dealt with individually.
