package: libuuid1
version: 2.25.2-3
severity: serious

Hi,

The postinst of libuuid1 uses the groupmod command in certain situations. This
only works if passwd is installed, but there is no dependency.

An example of the failure:

https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=qemu&arch=amd64&ver=2.1%2Bdfsg-8&stamp=1417200448

Preparing to unpack .../libuuid1_2.25.2-3_amd64.deb ...
Unpacking libuuid1:amd64 (2.25.2-3) over (2.25.2-2) ...
Setting up libuuid1:amd64 (2.25.2-3) ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/libuuid1:amd64.postinst: 15:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/libuuid1:amd64.postinst: groupmod: not found
dpkg: error processing package libuuid1:amd64 (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127
Errors were encountered while processing:
 libuuid1:amd64
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Cheers,

Ivo
