Package: partmen-efi
Severity: serious
Tags: d-i

Not sure if partman-efi is the right place for this bug to be filed,
but it's where things are showing up. Maybe parted is a better place?

Older versions of the installer (up to and including at least jessie
d-i alpha 1, 2014-03-18) use the correct GUID for an EFI system
partition on GPT, C12A7328-F81F-11D2-BA4B-00A0C93EC93B.

Later versions (including jessie d-i beta 1, 2014-08-13) are using
0FC63DAF-8483-4772-8E79-3D69D8477DE4, which is "Linux filesystem
data". This is wrong and will cause installation failures on some
machines if they're conforming correctly to the UEFI spec. See [1] for
more information.

Using snapshot.d.o, it looks like the most likely cause of the
breakage is the switch from parted 2 to parted 3. I'm looking deeper
now.
