So zelenka.debian.org built all those files in 6,5 hours, it is not hanging. But clearly this is a huge liability on the buildds and AFAICT this functionality, while compiled in, is not readily made available to the user or documented. So I will look about patching it out in the build system, rather, which should help the other buildds as well.
