Hi. I seem to have missed this somehow.
I don't think the -config interface is well defined. In particular, I don't think it's clear what flags can be included in foo-config output and what cannot. When including the -isystem patch, we evaluated and made sure all the compilers in Debian could parse this output. I actually think getting packages to build at high warning levels is a significant benefit to the distribution, and so I'm not really open to rolling back the change. It's possible that we could accomplish this with a pragma in the header files. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable taking that patch for Jessie, but if someone wanted to prepare a patch that used pragmas rather than -isystem I'd review that patch and apply if it was reasonable. --Sam -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
