Package: libio-socket-ssl-perl Version: 1.998-1 Severity: serious The tests in t/external/ make network connections to several sites over the Internet during the build. If the initial connect fails, the tests are skipped, so the package will still build without a network connection.
This is a privacy violation and mentioned in the Debian Perl Group Policy, see http://pkg-perl.alioth.debian.org/policy.html#test_suites I'm not quite sure if it should be considered release critical or not. Filing at 'serious' for now but feel free to downgrade if you know better. I think we've standardized on using the NETWORK_TESTING environment variable for this though I can't find much documentation about it. -- Niko Tyni nt...@debian.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
