So I let this issue ponder a bit and I concluded that my proposed fix is not good. The problem is that when a package that is already installed starts using dbconfig-common, the permissions won't be set appropriately. So the fix needs to be implemented otherwise. I have ideas, but I have to figure it out. Paul
