Severity: important
User: debian-r...@lists.debian.org
Usertag: ruby18-removal

Dear Maintainer,

The ruby team is trying to get rid of ruby1.8 for jessie.
The default version for wheezy is 1.9.1, (and will also go away for
jessie).

Please build-depend on ruby and ruby-dev instead of ruby1.8 and
ruby1.8-dev.

Also, according to the naming scheme for Ruby libraries, this package
should be called ruby-sbml5 (you should also ship transitional packagees
libsbml5-ruby{,1.8}).

Also, the arch independent Ruby files should be installed in the directorie
advertised as
ruby -e "puts RbConfig::CONFIG['vendordir']",
the arch dependent ones should go in the one
ruby -e "puts RbConfig::CONFIG['vendorarchdir']"

Thanks!

Cédric

Hi,

with the latest version (5.10.0+dfsg-1) this bug was closed since
the Ruby package was droped.

Kind regards

       Andreas.
