Are you sure, that this is a problem with the package and not with
your build environment?  I just tried this myself, first with an
updated sid amd64 pbuild environment and than with a freshly set up
sid amd64 pbuild environment and both of them build without any
problems.

Did you modify the build environment in any way?

The following in your build output looks strange:

quilt retries and solves this lateron but maybe this interrupt
corrupts something?

Please try it again without the "no space left on device" and tell me,
whether the problem persists.
