Package: subsurface
Version: 4.0.3-2
Hi,
I have started working in the Debian GIS Team on the osm-gps-map package.
At the moment, both the old library and the new library of osmgpsmap are
being provided due to subsurface depending on the old one (also for
building). It seems that subsurface is the only package left in testing
that needs it.
After checking the subsurface upstream repositories to see if they were
working on switching to the new osmgpsmap (which is gtk3 instead of
gtkt2), it looks as if they have already switched to QT and no longer
list osmgpsmap as a required dependency in any of the README/INSTALL
documentation.
I see that the latest subsurface has been imported into Alioth ready for
packaging. When you begin work on that, could you check whether the
dependency on osmgpsmap is still actually required?
Regards,
Ross
