My focus is definitely on the jessie release, so testing is what really matters. It doesn't make sense to keep wxwidgets2.8 around in unstable indefinitely, but there isn't a firm deadline for that removal. So if it's useful to keep a package in unstable and depending on wxwidgets2.8 while its future is resolved, that's certainly fine with me.
