Summary: the upstream created a new release to fix this problem. But bugs were found in this new release. Upstream is planning yet another release to deal with the problem, but the details have not been fixed yet. See below:

I am still thinking how to proceed. I would like to build a testing release 7.1 with packages for Windows and OSx, but the latter makes some difficulties. Nevertheless I must migrate to wx3 because I changed my MacBook OS - and I am therefore not able to build any release based on wx2.8. I will continue research and tell you soon.
