Hello Matthias, 2014-06-24 23:41 GMT+02:00 Matthias Klose <d...@debian.org>: > - You are breaking packages, without giving any information > in advance. See #752579.
I fail to see how a "Multi-Arch: same" file which differs in armel architecture has anything todo with this matter. Could you please explain what am I missing? > - Using clear names and nick names in the same changelog entry > looks to me that you are biased ... Apologies about that, I have pushed a fix into git tree to replace nickname with real name. > - You are lying about "never actually explained". And by this > time, the Python policy was updated to mention the preferred > use of Python 3. I agree with Python Policy about moving forward to Python 3, however I do not agree how this transition was handled as a flag day. Maybe we should instead provide Python 3 and Python 2 packages for extended time, until everyone moves on. > - Ben Longbons doesn't mention any packages where pretty > printers are broken. I do not think a Breaks is necessary, moving forward, what do you think if gdb-python2 and gdb-python3 are created then provide gdb for some time?
