Package: haskell-chunked-data Version: 0.1.0.1-1 Severity: serious Usertags: goto-cc
During a rebuild of all Debian packages in a clean sid chroot (using cowbuilder and pbuilder) the build failed with the following error. [...] -> Attempting to parse the build-deps -> Considering build-dep debhelper (>= 9) -> Trying debhelper -> Considering build-dep cdbs -> Trying cdbs -> Considering build-dep haskell-devscripts (>= 0.8.15) -> Trying haskell-devscripts -> Considering build-dep ghc -> Trying ghc -> Considering build-dep ghc-prof -> Trying ghc-prof -> Considering build-dep libghc-blaze-builder-dev -> Trying libghc-blaze-builder-dev -> Considering build-dep libghc-blaze-builder-prof -> Trying libghc-blaze-builder-prof -> Considering build-dep libghc-mono-traversable-dev (>= 0.2) -> Trying libghc-mono-traversable-dev -> Cannot install libghc-mono-traversable-dev; apt errors follow: Reading package lists... Building dependency tree... Reading state information... Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: libghc-mono-traversable-dev : Depends: libghc-comonad-dev-4.0-46110 but it is not installable Depends: libghc-semigroupoids-dev-4.0-c7438 but it is not installable Depends: libghc-semigroups-dev-0.12.2-0785d but it is not installable Depends: libghc-vector-instances-dev-3.3-00fef but it is not installable E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. E: Could not satisfy build-dependency. Looking at the possibly more authoritative https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=haskell-mono-traversable&suite=unstable it seems the build succeeded for most platforms, but sparc is seeing the same problem. So maybe the bug should rather be filed against haskell-mono-traversable - but it's really hard to see which package is at fault here. The fact that successful/failing builds appear to be a day-to-day thing here certainly is not very helpful. Best, Michael
