Strange, mpsyt --version reports 0.3.31, but I have 0.3.41 installed from unstable:
↳ apt-cache policy python-pafy python-pafy: Installed: 0.3.41-2 Candidate: 0.3.41-2 Version table: *** 0.3.41-2 0 200 http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ unstable/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Uh I think I got it. I had installed pms-youtube and pafy from pip a while ago. Had to pip uninstall pafy to get mpsyt to use 0.3.41 installed through APT. It works fine with 0.3.41. I think this can be closed, thanks for your help! 2014-05-13 19:06 GMT+02:00 Zlatan Todoric <zlatan.todo...@gmail.com>: > Hm, the python-pafy version in Debian unstable is 0.3.41 so update to that > one please > and report if there is any problem. > > Just out of curiosity - how/where did you manage to get 0.3.31? > > > On Tue, May 13, 2014 at 6:45 PM, nodiscc <nodi...@gmail.com> wrote: >> >> ↳ mpsyt --version >> >> mpsyt version : 0.01.44 >> pafy version : 0.3.31 >> Python version : 2.7.6 (default, Mar 22 2014, 15:40:47) >> [GCC 4.8.2] >> Processor : >> Machine type : x86_64 >> Architecture : 64bit, ELF >> Platform : Linux-3.13-1-amd64-x86_64-with-debian-jessie-sid >> >> 2014-05-13 18:39 GMT+02:00 Zlatan Todoric <zlatan.todo...@gmail.com>: >> > Hi, >> > >> > can you run mpsyt --version and paste output. >> > >> > Cheers, >> > >> > zlatan >> > >> > >> > On Tue, May 13, 2014 at 2:33 PM, nodiscc <nodi...@gmail.com> wrote: >> >> >> >> Package: mps-youtube >> >> Version: 0.01.44-2 >> >> Severity: grave >> >> Justification: renders package unusable >> >> >> >> Dear Maintainer, >> >> >> >> After doing a search in mps-youtube, hitting the number corresponding >> >> to a >> >> playslist entry, nothing is played. mps-youtube throws an error and >> >> exits: >> >> >> >> Traceback (most recent call last): >> >> File "/usr/bin/mpsyt", line 3362, in <module> >> >> main() >> >> File "/usr/bin/mpsyt", line 3326, in main >> >> if matchfunction(k, v, userinput): >> >> File "/usr/bin/mpsyt", line 3232, in matchfunction >> >> globals()[funcname](*matches) >> >> File "/usr/bin/mpsyt", line 2226, in play >> >> play_range(songlist, shuffle, repeat, override) >> >> File "/usr/bin/mpsyt", line 2321, in play_range >> >> playsong(song, override=override) >> >> File "/usr/bin/mpsyt", line 1463, in playsong >> >> get_streams(song, force=failcount, callback=writestatus) >> >> File "/usr/bin/mpsyt", line 295, in get_streams >> >> p = get_pafy(vid, force=force, callback=callback) >> >> File "/usr/bin/mpsyt", line 254, in get_pafy >> >> if not force and cached and cached.expiry > time.time(): >> >> AttributeError: 'Pafy' object has no attribute 'expiry' >> >> >> >> >> >> >> >> -- System Information: >> >> Debian Release: jessie/sid >> >> APT prefers testing >> >> APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (200, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') >> >> Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) >> >> Foreign Architectures: i386 >> >> >> >> Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) >> >> Locale: LANG=fr_FR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) >> >> Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash >> >> >> >> Versions of packages mps-youtube depends on: >> >> ii mplayer2 [mplayer] 2.0-701-gd4c5b7f-2 >> >> ii python 2.7.5-5 >> >> ii python-pafy 0.3.41-2 >> >> >> >> mps-youtube recommends no packages. >> >> >> >> mps-youtube suggests no packages. >> >> >> >> -- no debconf information >> > >> > >> > >> > >> > -- >> > Please while sending me text documents pay attention that they are by >> > ISO >> > standard that is in .odt format (For sending other types of documents >> > please >> > also refer to ISO/Open standars). >> > Its not the COST, its the VALUE! > > > > > -- > Please while sending me text documents pay attention that they are by ISO > standard that is in .odt format (For sending other types of documents please > also refer to ISO/Open standars). > Its not the COST, its the VALUE! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
