FWIW, I'm experimenting a bug with similar message, about empathy not able to connect, which displays a dialog box containing : "Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken." I'm not on kfreebsd, so I'm not sure this is the same issue.
