I was only relaying the QEMU maintainer's view, and their reasoning
behind not activating RDB.

I still don't get what these dummy scripts were for! :)

Wouldn't a better approach be to have the same amount and names of init
script / upstart jobs? I'm not really sure why there's so many upstart
jobs by the way (a single sysv-rc /etc/init.d/ceph worked fine for me).

FYI, I need to learn about systemd as well! :)

Again, feel free to ask for help. BTW, it'd be nice to have the
packaging list hosted on Alioth. These days, any DD can create Alioth
groups and lists without any approval from Alioth admins.
