JackDspSource.cpp:216:
 if ((client = jack_client_new(client_name)) == NULL) {
    throw Exception( __FILE__, __LINE__, "JACK server not running?");
 }

jack_client_new is deprecated, so this bug might related:

And there's a patch in that bug report.

I don't use jack. Please see if the above patches works for you.
