Source: fonts-freefont Version: 20120503-2 Severity: serious This version of fonts-freefont dropped both the transitional package and the Provides for ttf-freefont, claiming in the changelog that there are no reverse dependencies. I don't know where you got this idea - there are actually a few dozen reverse dependencies of ttf-freefont (one of them is gource which I happen to have installed, that's how I noticed the problem).
