Hi Andreas, Well, I had a look into this issue, and I wondered what I could do. I then moved the rc and rcS startup scripts of OpenRC inside /etc/init.d in the Debian package, but then the problem is that, when installing, there's now a prompt about overriding or not /etc/init.d/rc and rcS.
I'll keep things the way they are right now in the Git (with rc rcS marked as CONFFILES in OpenRC, which means closing this bug), and see if we can go back to this (IMO minor) issue.
